School has started
Today my kids went back to school and I was a nervous wreck! I sent my twelve year old off to 7th grade and it such a big deal--for me. All my childhood hang-ups came rushing back, and I was so anxious for my child. Eight hours later he returned home smiling and filled with amusing tales. By the way, my youngest likewise had a good day! Tomorrow...I will try to have a good day as well.

Back to school soon
Well, it's back to school...soon. My kids are gearing up for the big day. I'm looking forward to a bit of 'me time' if possible... It's been slow going with my latest manuscript, not because of writers block, I've been so busy with my youngest. And, this week we doggie sit for my sister! All I can say is, merciful father in heaven, I thank you that this is our last full day(for awhile). I love the doggie; she is so sweet, but more work then I can manage without falling unconscious--not asleep-- each night. Til next time, everyone take care.

Making Strides
I'm 14,200 words into my latest Manuscript. Things are going pretty well; I just have to make more time to get more writing done.

plane crash on the Hudson!
I just saw on CNN that a helicopter and a plane have collided over the Hudson River and there are reports of no survivors. How sad it that?!? I hear that that the pilots likely didn't see each other because they were in each others (blind spot). Mayor Bloomberg is saying that it's a recovery mission at this point. My prayers go out to their families and friends.

Busy Summer
What a busy summer I'm having! Spending time with family during the school break and trying to get as much writing done whenever I can fit it in. It's 9:09pm and things have slowed down, but now I'm sleepy (damn it all)

Writing in 'First Person'
Okay, my current manuscript was going nowhere. (There, I said it) I was about thirty pages in and couldn't get comfortable with the guy running around in my head. I loved the story concept, but I wasn't feeling my main character. I'd been writing about him for weeks and still didn't know him. I was observing him, but couldn't figure out what drove the guy. I was writing in third person (which I love) but it just didn't...fit. Now that I've given first person a shot, it's as if I've slipped on a pair of warm fuzzy slippers in the middle of winter time. Suddenly his actions don't leave me second guessing myself. Anyway, 'til next time...

Working on new novel
Hi all,
I've been busy working on my latest novel (exciting)
Sorry I haven't posted in a minute.
I've also been following the elections in Iran. Makes me glad
to be an American.
